Chief editor at the monthly Black Camera, artistic director at the Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice, artistic director of the Capri Photography Festival. He was also the founder, and now supervisor, of the postgraduate university master in photography, in a joint effort with NABA and FORMA Foundation. From 2005 to 2014, he was director at Contrasto Milano and Vice President of the Forma Foundation in Milan. For over 15 years, he was editor and photography critic at ViviMilano and Corriere della Sera. Expert in the photography collectible market in 2002-2003 he was the curator of the first photographic auctions at Sotheby’s in Milan. He is curator of exhibitions and photo exhibitions and author of several books on photography.
